Smart Home is an ideal choice for building upgrading, as it gives important features of comfort and savings to both new and existing buildings. SALUS Smart Home includes devices and functions for the control of all heating / cooling / DHW production systems, as well as for the control of lighting, electrical appliances, etc.
See the devices required by type of heating application, eg for radiators, underfloor heating, fan coil heating, etc.
Universal Gateway UGE 600 - Required in all Smart Home applications
The heart of SALUS Smart Home system is the UGE 600 Universal Gateway. The central gateway first connects wired (or wireless) to the internet & then communicates with all SALUS Smart Home devices via the Zigbee wireless protocol.
All Smart Home applications require the installation of the UGE 600 and is the first device we connect to the SALUS Smart Home application.
A. Choice of Smart Home appliances - for heating installations with radiators
To control, through the Salus Smart Home, a heating installation with radiators, the following devices are required:
1. Smart Thermostatics radiator valve: TRV10RFM – Code: 048.002.0215
The smart thermostatic head TRV is used to control the radiator heating
One TRV head is installed in each radiator body.
Radiators must have a thermostatic switch, on which the smart TRV head will be installed.
2. Smart Thermostats - many options available from SALUS
We choose as many thermostat units as the autonomy zones we want to have. Ideally we install a thermostat per room.
Each thermostat is then adjusted to control the TRV Heads of the respective room.
It is recommended to choose a Smart Thermostat from the following list:
- HTRS-RF(30) – Wireless Digital Thermostat SALUS Smart Home - Code: 048.002.0285 (VFM choice)
- SQ610RF Quantum – Wifi Thermostat SALUS Smart Home - Code: 048.002.0325 (TOP choice)
- SQ610 Quantum – Wifi Thermostat SALUS Smart Home - Code: 048.002.0330 (Surface-mounted -230V)
- TS600 – Wireless Thermostat - Code: 048.002.0315 (for control only through application)
- For more thermostat options see the ANDRIANOS catalog
3. Smart Relay SR600 SALUS - Code: 048.002.0253
Smart Relay SR600 controls any device powered by a maximum load of 16A. The device is factory prepared for controlling AC 230V units.
This application uses:
- for control (ON / OFF) of the heating source (eg Heat Pump or Oil / Gas Boiler etc)
- and / or for control (ON / OFF) of the pump of the installation
Β. Choice of Smart Home appliances - for underfloor heating installations
To control, through the Salus Smart Home, an underfloor heating installations, the following devices are required:
1. KL08RF – Wiring centre, for 8 zones - Code: 048.002.0205
Wiring Center is located in the central collector of the installation and controls the Thermoelectric actuator (T30NC) that open and close the underfloor circuits.
KL08RF Wiring Center operates wirelessly with the SALUS Smart Home series thermostats.
There is also the extension of the wiring center KL04RF for control of additional 4 zones - Code: 048.002.0210
Wired Wiring Center
In case there is wiring from the thermostats to the collector (eg in a new installation) we can use the wired Wiring Center KL08NSB - Code: 048.002.0270 - page 152 of ANDRIANOS catalogue.
If we choose the wired cabling center KL08NSB, we will necessarily choose the wired thermostat (SQ610)
2. Thermoelectric actuator SALUS T30NC – Code: 048.002.0065
Thermoelectric actuators SALUS T30NC are placed in the central collector and control (open and close) the underfloor circuits wired.
C. Choice of Smart Home appliances - for installations with Heat Pumps and Fan Coils
To control, through the Salus Smart Home, for heating or cooling installations with Fan Coil, the following devices are required:
1. Fan Coil Controller FC600 - Code: 048.002.0260
A Smart Fan coil Controller FC600 is installed in each room.
This device is suitable for controlling fan coils in 2-pipe and 4-pipe systems.
Wiring is required from each FC600 controller to the respective Fan Coil that will control that particular FC600.
D. Choice of Smart Home appliances - for installations with Boiler
In the case of hybrid systems or systems that include a boiler for the production / storage of domestic hot water, we have the ability to automate the maintenance of water temperature inside the tank, through the Smart Home.
In these cases it is required:
1. Temperature sensor PS600 - Code: 048.002.0335
PS600 wireless temperature sensor has the ability to measure and report the temperature of the water inside the boiler.
Sensor is installed in a special hole of the boiler and constantly measures the temperature of the hot water inside.
Thanks to this measurement we can give commands for the desired actions (via the Smart Relay SR600 - see below)
3. Smart Relay SR600 SALUS - Code: 048.002.0253
Smart Relay SR600 controls any device powered by a maximum load of 16A. The device is factory prepared for controlling AC 230V units.
Smart relays activate the commands we have programmed, depending on the temperature measured by the PS600.
For example, if we want to keep the temperature inside the container between 46 and 49BK, then it is enough to program the Smart Home as follows:
This application uses:
- for control (ON / OFF) of the heating source (eg Heat Pump or Oil / Gas Boiler etc)
- and / or for control (ON / OFF) of the pump of the installation
Programming of SALUS Smart Home is very easy, thanks to the One Touch rules included in the application.
