In one of the best "historic" hotels in Greece, in the luxurious Kinsterna Hotel overlooking the legendary rock-castle of Monemvasia, ANDRIANOS undertook the design, supply and installation of a modern gas network. A project that was completed with respect to the special character of the hotel complex and based on the quality and absolute safety of the new LPG facilities.
Kinsterna Hotel is a dreamy, magical hiding place, just a few minutes away from the blue sea of the Mediterranean next to Monemvasia. It is an impressive mansion and estate dating back to the Byzantine, Ottoman and Venetian eras, which has now diligently returned to its former glory with an air of luxury. The owners have recreated the perfect model of sustainability, having revived all activities, such as winemaking and olive oil production that was for many generations the soul of the 70-acre estate. The ultimate goal of the Kinsterna Hotel is to become as autonomous and independent a community as possible. This purpose is also served by the choice for the use of liquefied petroleum gas with a private tank, to meet the needs of restaurants, with liquefied petroleum gas appliances, but also to assist in space heating and hot water for the use of the hotel complex.
The installed LPG network has all the necessary safety devices with LPG products and components of the German company GOK and an above-ground LPG tank, with a capacity of 5000 liters, of the Italian company Plinoxotar. Specifically, the LPG network consists of:
- Thermal protection valves of the leading German company GOK, which cut off the gas supply in case of fire.
- State-of-the-art leak detection system with a special sensor of professional type IP54 of the Italian company Technocontrol, with a panel and a backup battery that ensures the detection and interruption of the gas supply even when the power is not interrupted.
- Seismic protection system, activated in cases of earthquakes above 5.5 on the Richter scale, which immediately cuts off the gas supply outside the building.
- Special stainless steel flexible socket connectors, from Witzenmann, Italy, were used to connect the devices, according to EN 14800: 2008.
- Finally, for the storage of gas, a Plinoxotar gas tank was installed, with an underground installation and a capacity of 5000 liters.
Kinsterna Mansion is an attraction all year round for excellent accommodation, excellent Mediterranean cuisine and relaxation in a real paradise for nature lovers. A visit to Kinsterna is an experience that will undoubtedly be etched in the memory of the visitor. ANDRIANOS, for its part, studied and installed another LPG network, which was created with the strictest technical specifications required by modern technical legislation and which provides staff and guests with absolute safety, thanks to the right choice of materials and the perfect technical training.
