Initially, "Smart Plugs" were used to control the Heat Pump remotely for setting On / Off State and Cold/Heat operation as well.

Then, the controllers of the Fan Coil units were changed with new -smart- ones .At the same time, smart window sensors were placed on all the doors and windows of the building.

The window sensors were interconnected per room, with the corresponding Fan Coil's smart controls, in order to shut down Fan Coil of the room when a door or a window opens. Likewise when the window closes, Fan Coil returns to the normal operation.
Thanks to this "smart rule", reat savings of energy and money are achieved in an automatic way, while the thermal comfort of the residents is the maximum possible.
Next step in the installation proccess was the installation of Smart Plugs to control the lights through a mobile phone, tablet or computer. The Smart Plugs, in addition to the apparent control function, also record energy data for the devices connected to them and retain usage log.

All the individual devices of the system are communicatiing via a closed wireless protocol (ZigBee) and thanks to the iT600 Gateway, the UGE600.

The UGE600 Gateway is wired or wirelessly connected to Internet and provides remote control to iT600 users via its application, distributed free of charge for iPhone & Android devices.

Through the SALUS Smart Home application, the user has a quick preview & control capability of all iT600 interconnected devices.
The potentials of the system are multiplied by the ability to create custom scenarios and actions . SALUS calls this ability “ONE TOUCH RULES” and the title fits perfectly.
In this house, the owner wanted to open and close all the lights and the heating system, with the touch of a button, so the "CHECK IN & CHECK OUT" One Touch Rules were created and grouped all these functions.
In addition, a "Smart Button" was installed in the main house entrance to activate the above grouped functions with one press. The smart button is especially useful for quickly turning on systems and makes it easy to use Smart Home without using the application. It is ideal for installation in houses where elderly people live, who usually do not have much familiarity with smartphones.

Of course, in addition to the CHECK IN & CHECK OUT functions implemented in this facility, Salus's Smart Button can also be programmed for any other function of the Smart Home that the user desires.
Another function implemented in this house is equivalent to a basic alarm system. Specifically, when this "smart update" is activated, the system sends email and sms to the owner every time the doors or windows of the house are opened.
Last addition to the system Smart Home was the "smart" energy meter for both central power supply and specific energy devices (fridge, washing machine, heat pump, etc.). The installation of the energy meter provides the possibility for further improvement of the system and of the energy savings, since after proper analysis of the recorded consumption data, many corrective changes can be easily made to the system.
